A LossRunPro alternative that lives inside the renewal.
LossRunPro is a dedicated loss-run request service. RenewRig is a trucking-agency CRM where the loss run is one automated step of the renewal — requested, chased, and filed from the same client record the rest of the file lives in.
What a standalone loss-run service does
LossRunPro, as its public materials describe it, maintains a large directory of carrier loss-run contacts and sends and tracks requests on an agency's behalf, with request paths that depend on whether the agency holds an agent-of-record letter for the account. That is a real problem solved well: finding where a request goes and keeping it moving. (Based on the product's public materials and our own trial in July 2026 — check their site for current features and pricing.)
Where a standalone tool stops
The request is one step. The renewal continues: the report has to reach the submission, the application has to be built, the client has to be asked for what is still missing, the markets have to be chosen, and the quote has to be explained — in the client's language. A separate request tool means the client exists twice, the report is downloaded and re-uploaded, and the follow-up lives in a tab nobody has open on Monday morning.
How RenewRig handles loss runs
- The client record is matched to its FMCSA registration; the current insurer comes from the filing history.
- One click generates the letter of authorization and the request letters for every prior insurer.
- The insured signs from a phone and lists prior insurers on the same page; a 48-hour reminder follows an unsigned link.
- Requests go out with the signed authorization attached; follow-ups go at 7 and 14 days; open requests escalate to the agent.
- Received reports are filed under the policy and read by Smart Intake with the rest of the documents.
The full workflow, with a letter template: how to request loss runs.
When the standalone service is the better fit
- You only need loss-run requests, not a CRM, and your agency management system is staying where it is.
- You need the breadth of a directory that has been collecting carrier contacts for years, today.
- Your book is not trucking. RenewRig is built around motor carriers; a general commercial-lines agency would use a fraction of it.

Questions agencies ask
Can we use LossRunPro and RenewRig together?
Yes. A loss run obtained anywhere can be uploaded to the client’s file in RenewRig and used by the rest of the renewal. Agencies that already have a request service running can keep it while they move the book.
Does RenewRig have its own loss-run contact directory?
Yes — a directory of insurers’ loss-run contacts, matched to the insurer names the insured types. It grows with the insurers our agencies actually request from; a long-running dedicated service may list more carriers today.
What if the insured will not sign?
Nothing goes out without authorization, in either tool. RenewRig sends the signing link by email and by text, reminds after 48 hours, and shows the agent exactly which files are waiting on a signature.
Move loss runs inside the renewal.
Bring one renewing client. We show the loss-run request, the signature, and the filing on your own file.
